Cleveland-area employers and STEM partners invited to showcase careers at two signature events featuring the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Charge
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The NEOSTEM Ecosystem announced today that STEM Playbook has once again agreed to lead the organization’s two signature events this March: STEM Day with the Cleveland Charge on March 3, 2027, and Score With STEM with the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 20, 2027. Both events will take place at Rocket Arena.
This renewed partnership continues to bring together the region’s students, educators, employers and sports fans around a shared message: STEM careers and competitive sports have more in common than most people realize.
STEM Playbook is inviting area employers, STEM partners and community organizations to join both events to showcase local STEM careers and highlight the connections between the science, technology, engineering and math that power sports — from data analytics and biomechanics to broadcast engineering and facility operations — and the game itself.
“Sports and STEM run on the same fuel: curiosity, teamwork and the drive to get a little better every day,” said Alyssa Briggs, President of STEM Playbook. “When a student watches the Cavaliers or the Charge and realizes the engineers, analysts and technologists behind the scenes started exactly where they are now, that’s the moment a career path clicks into place. We’re thrilled to create that moment for even more students this year.”

The Cleveland Charge are the NBA G League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Founded in 2011 as the Canton Charge, the team is part of Rock Entertainment Group, the umbrella entity of sports and entertainment properties under the Dan Gilbert ROCK Family of Companies. Beginning in the 2024-2025 season, the Cleveland Charge began playing home games at the historic Public Hall in downtown Cleveland.
